This week, the 1st Winter Youth Olympic Games are held in Innsbruck/Austria. Since I was in Innsbruck anyways, I thought to go up there and cheer our German Halfpipe rider Lucas Mangold. The Pipe looked awesome and the weather was just amazing. With riders like Beau Wells, Kai Mahler, etc. the level was quite good. Lucas did a great job and made it straight to the finals, without riding pipe every day (since there is none in Germany). In the finals, it was a pretty clear decision, when Kai throw down an amazing run with Left Dub 12 Mute, Right 9 Tail, Left 5 nose shifty, Right 5 Tail, AO Rodeo 5 Blunt shifty... this brought him 95.00 points right away.
Also big Congrats to Lauri Kivari and Aron Blunck as well as the girls Lizy Gram, Tiril Sjastad and Marine Tripier.
